Outcomes

Outcomes (or student learning outcomes) describe what students will be able to do, in what context, and to what degree of proficiency. This behavior is measured at the end of the module of instruction (in the case of module-level outcomes) and at the end of the course (in the case of course-level outcomes), once students complete the respective AAIs.

For more details, see CMU’s page.

For a learning-outcome builder, please see UCF’s page.

Consider the following analogy I created to compare outcomes to goals and place them in the context of instructional alignment.

Here I illustrate the flow of course design.
